Check In/Out:
Our property manager is also the on-site property manager for Tidewater Resort. You will check in at the lobby and they will provide you with a packet including the door code, parking garage code, and other instructions. You will also receive wrist bands and a movie rental card in the packet.
If you arrive after 5pm, after-hours check in is also available on site through a phone system near the lobby entrance. You will be given further instruction with your confirmed reservation. Security is available 24 hours if you need further direction.
Best place to park is the second floor of the parking garage if there are open spaces. That floor has the connecting walkover to the main building.
You must unload in the parking garage (check in only at the main entrance) and you can check out a luggage cart on the building side of the second floor cross over. Security will hold your driver’s license until you return the cart.
You may use the front entrance for any passengers who may have a disability or require additional assistance.
At the end of your stay, to check-out simply follow the instructions provided with your packet at check-in. You will be asked to run any dirty dishes through the dishwasher and dispose of any trash at the trash chute (located at each end of the floor along front walkway). You are not requested to do any additional cleaning. Although you will not have daily maid service, similar to a hotel, the condo will be thoroughly cleaned by Housekeeping upon your departure.
Elevators:
There are 7 high-speed elevators at Tidewater that normally whisk you between floors. The elevators are numbered #1 through #7, starting at the WEST end of the building, and moving to the EAST end of the building. The number #1 elevator is located near the west pool, and the number #7 elevator is located near the east pool. Elevators #2 and 3 are together in the west/central stack, and elevators #4, 5, and 6 are located together in the east/central stack.
During quiet and/or normal times, any of the elevators should work marvelously for you. Obviously, the east/central stack containing elevators #4, 5, and 6 offers the best overall odds of catching an elevator.
During the busy times, all of the elevators can be challenging, but generally the system works pretty well. However, just like many other resorts, Tidewater’s primary check-in/check-out day is Saturday, and during the very busy spring break and summer Saturdays, the Tidewater elevators are heavily used, so please plan accordingly.
Some hints and tips for those busiest Saturdays are as follows:
- Consider Checking in/out on days other than Saturday
- When at Tidewater on Saturdays, plan for minimal elevator usage on that day
- Elevators #1 or #7 might offer the best opportunity because they are the most “hidden”
- If with a group, try to all ride together so you don’t have to wait on “multiple” delays
- Make sure you press your correct floor, so accidental stops are avoided
- When going “up”, catching an elevator on the Ground floor will likely work better than encountering a potentially full elevator on the 2nd floor
The Tidewater management is very aware of the situation and is working on developing creative solutions. Please be patient, and hopefully this occasional issue can be remedied in the near future.
Trash:
Please place all trash in sealed bags and dispose of in the trash chute (located at each end of the floor along front walkway). Do not place pizza boxes or any other large boxes in the chute as they will cause the chute to become blocked. Leave bulky items in the trash room for pick-up.

The condo is equipped with an iron and ironing board.
Blow dryer is NOT provided.
You will be provided with an initial set of bath soap, dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. There is a land based phone line in the condo for local calls or emergencies.
The condo is serviced by Comcast Cable with cable channels available in the living and master bedrooms. There is also a tv/dvd player available in the bunk room (no cable connection). You can check out movies for free, 2 at a time, with the movie rental card provided to you at check-in. The movie box is located in the second floor lobby directly across from the second floor parking cross over (near the lending library).
Cell phone reception within the condo can be spotty. Stand near the front door for best reception.
Heating and Air Conditioning:
The condo is equipped with a SMART thermostat. Simply set the control to the temperature you desire. Please DO NOT run the A/C with the sliding glass doors open. We suggest that you set the thermostat between 70 and 78 degrees. Setting it lower or higher causes the unit to run inefficiently with little beneficial result.
Be Safe:
No climbing or leaning over balconies. Please use extreme caution when allowing children on the balcony. Move chairs away from the railing and be sure there is adult supervision at all times.
Be careful when opening the front door if either of the sliding doors are open, as this creates a wind tunnel affect which could cause the front door to slam forcefully or cause items in the condo to be blown to the floor.
Use of charcoal grills, electric grills, hibachis, and gas grills on the balcony is forbidden by the State of Florida Life Safety Code.
PCB Fire Department has set the maximum occupancy for one-bedroom units at Tidewater Resort to 6 people.
Legal drinking age in Florida is 21 years old. Funneling is prohibited.
Throwing anything from the balcony or front walkway (including liquids, water balloons, food for birds, etc.) is prohibited by Florida law. Hanging anything from the balcony railing including towels or flags is prohibited by Tidewater Beach Resort.
Fireworks are prohibited on resort property.
Be careful when walking in the right of way along PCB thoroughfares.
Be cautious when driving on or around scooters and carts, many are driven by fellow vacationers with little experience driving these vehicles.
Smoking and Pets:
Smoking is prohibited in all common areas of the resort, within our condo, and on the balcony and front walkway. The NO SMOKING policy will be strictly enforced.
Guests at Tidewater Resort are not allowed to bring pets on property. Owners’ pets are allowed but must be registered with the HOA. No animals are permitted on pool decks or on the beach (except in designated area such as near the city pier).
Parking:
Parking is provided in the parking garage at no additional cost for guests staying on property. Vehicles must be parked within marked spaces in the parking garage and have a parking pass (provided at check-in) visibly displayed.
Parking is NOT allowed for water craft, trailers, campers, motor homes, buses or other oversized vehicles.
Garage height is 7’2” at the lowest point – do not enter the garage if your vehicle exceeds this height.
Golf carts, rental scooters and rental carts are not allowed to park on property.
Quick Meals:
The Tidewater building has an on-site restaurant called “Waves” located on the 1st floor where you can order quick meals for eat-in or take out.
Additionally, the Marco’s Pizza located across the street offers delicious pizza for eat-in, take out, or delivery. Ordering an extra large pizza can leave you with leftover pizza to put in the fridge for quick snacks later.
The Tidewater building has an on-site store on the ground floor at the west end of the building that offers soft drinks, ice cream, snacks and beach toys. Their prices are very reasonable, especially considering the convenience.
As always, we hope you enjoy your stay at 2109 Tidewater.
